The Acer is designed to provide the home user with ample power to perform everyday tasks and has a budget–friendly price. The computer includes a GB of RAM and a 250 GB hard drive. We added a 17” LCD monitor and speakers to complete the package.
When compared to other home PCs in this price range, Acer’s graphics card is slightly below par. Both the audio and graphics are integrated, which means they rely on system memory instead of having dedicated memory. This shortfall is noticed while playing games or using applications with demanding graphics.
The Acer Aspire E360 incorporates an AMD Athlon 64 3700 processor. This is a 2.2 GHz processor with a system bus speed of 1000 MHz.
We are impressed the Acer comes with a firewire port: however, the tower doesn’t have a media card reader, and this isn’t an option you can include.
